Abandoned Warehouse Shoot

Over the weekend, me and a few of my friends decided to have an all black photo-shoot in an abandonded warehouse since we are all wanna be hipsters and honestly photoshoots are hell of a lot of fun! Granted it wasnt all black, since a few of the girls decided to wear white or maroon, and on a side note the inspiration for this shoot was based off of Solanges wedding photo (*wink*).

DIY TOMS!

So I love Toms just like everyone else obviously, however one day I spilled some bleach on my gray toms and it left a pretty off looking orange blob on my shoe. And later on my right shoe got some black smudges on it to that wouldn't budge when I tried to clean them, so I thought its time to bring out my art bin and get crafty with my toms! I looked up a bunch of tutorials and saw some really pretty designs however there was this one pair of toms that had a henna inspired design on it and I fell in love with it! I will insert that image below as well as my spin on the idea, and how I customized my toms :) Enjoy!

So the tools you will need to do this are as follows:

1. Sponge brushes

 2. Some sort of water sealant, such as Mod Podge but you can use which ever one you have

 3. A black sharpie, and thin paint brush

 4. Acrylic paint or fabric paint, I used acrylic
I used the mustard and white color in my paint kit
5. Painters tape

So, to actually list my steps I first started with using the painters tape and taped around the bottom rim of shoe and covered the toms label on the back and the flap label on the sides.
      Before Toms

First step: Cover bottom and labels with painters tape

Second step: I mixed my preferred choice of paints in a disposable plate and started to apply the color onto my shoes with the foam paint brush

I did a total of 2 coats of paints and this is what it looked like after I was done

Third step: I filled in my little triangle on the top of the shoe with a white color paint with the smaller paintbrush and removed the painters tape

Fourth Step: So now its the fun part, I took my sharpie and just started doodling designs onto my dry painted toms I suggest pulling up pictures of patterns you like.  I only drew on the top half of my toms not the sides or front toe part. The picture I was inspired by is below:
Fifth Step: After you are done drawing just paint on the sealant all over the shoe and let it dry for a few hours.
After that you're done! Here is the final product:

Infiniti Scarf OOTD

Me and my friend got bored, so what we decided to do being the hipsters we think we are we decided to have a photoshoot. We both got all dolled up and headed to a local park and snapped away some pictures as random men stared at us while playing sports, but it was all in good fun. I decided for my headscarf to try and style an infinity scarf, and I think it came out fairly decent let me know what you guys think!

Fearless Stripes OOTD

Yesterday me and my sister went out to do some shopping and I wore this skirt that I have been dying to find. The skirt is nothing fancy at all its just a stripped maxi, but I could never find one that was good quality and fit my price range. F21 has them but they are made of a thin jersey material, and other stores wanted like 40 dollars for the skirt, but of course had better material. So one day when me and my sister walked into J. Crew while they were having a sale I laid my eyes upon the beauty and snatched it up! The price ....? *Drum roll please* 20 bucks, yes J. Crew for 20 dollars not something one sees everyday as they are a fairly pricey store. Here is the outfit I wore styling my maxi skirt:

EM by Michelle Phan Cosmetics Review

Here on the internet the name Michelle Phan is a person everyone has heard of either through her famous youtube channel, makeup line, jewelry line, Ipsy company, and other items. She is a huge success and I have been a huge fan of her ever since she started making videos on her patio in Florida. So, when she announced the launch of her own makeup line I was super excited and could not wait to try it out! I got two palettes in the Christmas sale and have been using them ever since to test out how I feel about them. I bought the holiday life: new year's countdown edition, and the winter life: ice bunny edition palette.

From left to right the colors are:
avalanche~eyeshadow
snow day!~ eyeshadow
ice bunny~ eyeshadow
bundle up~ eyeshadow
winter chill~ eyeshadow
black pumps~ eyeshadow
dressed up~lip
parisian nude~lip

from left to right the colors are:
sequin dress~eyeshadow
good cheers!~eyeshadow
couples gold~eyeshadow
cranberry cocktail~eyeshadow
happy new year!~eyeshadow
clock strikes midnight~eyeshadow
stroke of plum~lip
sparkling punch~lip

from left to right the blushes are:
new years countdown palette: countdown
ice bunny palette: snuggle up peach

The blushes are my favorite product from both palettes, they are so beautiful, pigmented, and just really nice colors and have good staying power. I would always find myself reaching back for the ice bunny palette for its blush which is probably the prettiest peach blush I own, no joke.

Overal Opinion?

Packaging: A lot of people did not like the packaging, however I love it. Its heavy, not a cheap plastic and really chic and cute. My only problem with the packaging are the lip products in the palette, I barely use them not only due to pigmentation but also because eyeshadow fallout mixes in with them, and thats a real problem especially in the ice bunny palette because the black shadow would mix into the nude color (not cute).

Quality: All the eyeshadows were beautiful they are a mixture of glitter, shimmer, mattes, and the only one I didn't like was sequin dress its very patchy and has chunky glitters in it which I'm not a huge fan of. They all blend easily and are good quality, some of them you have to pack on like good cheers from the new years palette, but I find its fit for brown bone and not anything else. The lip colors in the ice bunny palette also were both just very sheer and don't show much pigmentation on the lips but they are still pretty nonetheless. In the new years palette the lip products were both quite pigmented and wear well.

Price: Her brand is a luxury brand so its not super cheap, however I bought mine during the christmas sale which was buy one get one free and I found a 15% percent off coupon with free shipping! So I paid roughly around 12.50 for each palette which is cheaper than some drugstore ones. I say her pricing is fine originally both palettes are $25 each, just keep a look out for sales she's always having them.

Overall I do like her mini life palettes, they do seem like they are travel friendly and they contain eye, lip and cheek products so its convenient. Tell me what you guys think of any of her products!
